If you happen to go to Egypt, be sure to visit the Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbel, the Egyptian Museum, Saqqara and Karnak. Those places will to take you to the ancient times and it is a feeling to experience at least once. It is hot as hell though; just a heads up.
