A garden is a planned out space specifically for plants and other forms of nature. They are usually set outdoors and can have man-made and natural materials. Gardens are a great place to relax and have some nice family time. You could even hang out with your friends or plan a picnic. I am very fond of gardens and even though I have not had many chances to visit the following, I would really love to. This particular list talks about the top ten gardens in the world. Ryaon-Ji is a temple in Japan and it is famous for the Zen Garden. It is considered to be one of the best examples of dry-landscape style. It is also considered as the only greatest piece of Japanese culture. The temple is surrounded by low walls and it is unknown exactly who laid the garden out. There is a stone washbasin behind the garden. It is called Tsukubai and is said to be a gift from Tokugawa Mitsukuni in the seventeenth century. It bears an inscription; ‘I learn only to be contented’.

This garden is one of the best landmarks in Minnesota, United States. Claes Oldenburg and his wife Coosje van Bruggen were asked to design a fountain-sculpture for this particular garden. If you are aware with his style, he uses a spoon in many of his sculptures and that spoon appeared in a huge size in this particular design. It was the theme of the entire garden. He topped the spoon off with a cherry on top literally. The cherry comes from the dining etiquette of Louis XIV and that is what the cherry imposes.

Mughal emperor Shah Jahan created this garden in the city of Lahore in Pakistan. The construction of this particular garden began in 1641 A.D and was completed a year later. The garden is laid out in the form of a parallelogram and it is surrounded by a high brick wall. It is famous for the fretwork that was incorporated into the construction. These gardens were incorporated as UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1981 including the Lahore Fort.

This particular garden is said to have been built during the Mind Dynasty in China more than four hundred years ago. It is built in a very traditional Chinese style. The gardens mimic the style of French gardens. The main greenhouse spans across an area of 458 meters. The garden covers a total area of around 240 square meters. There is also a Botanic Museum which serves as a reference to the different collection of flora. It attracts researchers from all around the world and contains many species from the Atlantic Forests of Brazil.

It was designed for him by Andre Le Notre. You will see countless flowerbeds, the Orangerie, the fountains and a Canal. A lot of earth had to be shifted to make room for these particular amenities. Wheelbarrows were used to transport earth by thousands of men. It was a lot of work but it was definitely worth it.

A large land of around 600 acres was bought by Mr. Pisit and Mrs. Nongnooch in the year 1954. It was predicted that it will be a site for fruit plantation but they sure proved it wrong. It is home to around 7 million tulips and that includes rare hybrids and that have specially been developed. It also features the Russian black tulip Baba Yaga, and that is the pride of the entire garden.

The garden of cosmic speculation is in Scotland. Interestingly enough, the garden is inspired from science and math. Now, I don’t know how that happened but that is the popular belief. It was set by Charles Jencks with his wife Maggie Keswick. It is located near Dumfries. The garden was set up in 1989. The mere design of the garden makes you wonder. It is actually really interesting, I have no clue how Mr. Jencks and his wife actually came up with this idea. Oh, but this settles the dispute, math and science can actually be used for something as beautiful as this place.
